The beginning of March promises to be jam packed with fun! The month starts out when we talk about “In like a lion, out like a lamb”, and I am sure we will be talking about snow still as well. We also get to talk a little bit about St. Patrick’s Day, and try to finish up the current reading unit in the MWF class.

On Monday & Tuesday, 3/17 & 18; will be the St. Patrick’s Day parties and Leprechaun Hunts. Have your child wear green and look for more info coming home about that in your child's folder.

We will start talking about spring before the end of the month. Birds and new signs of growth are some of the things we will cover. We will also be using March to finish getting ready for the Spring Program and Arts Fest that will happen on Friday, April 4th. Mark your calendars now to attend. Not only will your children be singing that night during the program, but a lot of their artwork that we have been saving throughout the year will be on display!

For the MWF students Pre-Decodable books will be coming home consistently from now until the end of the year. Morning work will also continue. A new addition will be "My First Homework" Pages will be coming home to reinforce what we are working on at school.

Thank you to everyone who has been selling Gertrude Hawk and working at our Monthly Meals. Fundraisers, like the candy sale, go to help pay for extra supplies, our gym, art, and music teachers, and also special field trips throughout the year! If you would like to help out some or help plan special things for our school attending PTL meetings will help you do that!

Happy March to everyone!
